Parasocial Studies

In May 2020, I started a TikTok channel called Parasocial Studies, featuring short-form video essays about current politics, culture, and technology. I serve as the channel’s executive producer, writer and narrator, and work with a team of a video editor and audio technician to develop videos on a regular basis.

KFC x Diablo IV, KFC x PUBG KFC

In 2023, KFC launched two programs to offer in-game rewards to hungry gamers in Diablo IV and PUBG. I helped write and direct several of the paid social spots and organic posts for both campaigns.


AirSMR JetBlue

Travel is stressful, and for many people, the airport is the worst part of the whole experience. To help people de-stress around the always-hectic holiday travel season, I helped create JetBlue’s first-ever ASMR video, featuring ambient airport sounds and terminal announcements redone to sound oddly relaxing. The result? AirSMR. The video was a hit with fans of the medium, and dozens of press outlets ended up covering the video, including The Washington Post, The Verge, Mic, and Fox Business. It was also named a finalist for the 2021 Effie Awards.

360° of A321neo JetBlue

Between July and September 2019, I helped develop the script and overall concept for a 360° video designed to showcase the features of JetBlue’s newest plane, the A321neo. Watch the finished video below:

Rise of SALI Liberty Mutual Insurance

In the spring of 2018, Mechanica created an Escape Room experience for Liberty Mutual Insurance. The escape room’s story has players trapped inside a futuristic server room, where they have to work together to shut down a rogue artificial intelligence (Liberty Mutual does a lot of work with A.I.).

One of my creative directors asked me for some advice on developing the storyline for the experience and its intro video. I ended up writing the entire script. Check it out below.

RunPops X Pokémon GO Saucony

My first paid social campaign, sold in while I was still technically a part-time employee/college student:

In the summer of 2016, Saucony launched their RunPops line of brightly-colored running shoes and the world got really into Pokémon Go. I brought the game to Saucony’s attention–as a running shoe company, I figured they could benefit from a game that got a lot of people moving. The game has three player teams, colored yellow, blue, and red. Saucony’s RunPops line offers shoes in all three colors. It was meant to be.

We created a paid Facebook mini-campaign that garnered some of the Saucony page’s highest engagement numbers of the summer (most notably, more comments than all of Saucony’s other Facebook posts in July combined). The concept had some legs at Saucony, and they also ended up sponsoring a Pokémon Go Bar Crawl in Boston and promoting it on their Snapchat account.
